Red Rooms of the Internet: Scam or Real?

Red Rooms are where the most dark web fans wants to participate. and dwell.The first time when I stumbled on the dark web I did not know what a red room was and I did found the .onion URL for a red room that is supposed to happen after 23 days. I was confused of course and considering the fact that if you want to join you have to pay bit coins to participate in a red room event I thought it was another scam that lurks in the dark web and left.

Of course the history of red rooms are outlined to be kind of vague and mysterious. There are very popular red rooms made by the ISIS where they behead people and brutally kill them. And there was the was the Paedophile chains of red rooms videos which were investigated by the police and probably gave birth to the most scam red rooms available on the internet.

So for those who does not comprehend what on earth a red room is , it is like a basic video chat room only except you pay to visit them using a simple amount of bitcoins. If you examine the site you would simply see that there are two options you can choose "Join" or Leave"

So when you choose to participate it would direct you to another page that would let you pay bit coins. In terms of some user experiences or uncredible rumours it is said that when the event deadline is passed the webmaster of the red room would issue a unique URL that could trace if you are a cop or not. When the scanning process is completed, using the unique URL the paid viewer would be able to access a video chat room along with other paid viewers. 

Next comes the worse part. In the video which is streamed live by the webmasters you would be able to witness a person being blind folded gagged or etc and depending on the amount you paid you are able to request whatever you want to do to the bound imprisoned person. So these acts are brutal since it could well... anything. 

In my personal opinion I think red rooms on the dark web are specifically scams these days and if there are unique sites that hosts such brutal events then they might be encrypted on other links rather than the .onion links. 

The image in this post is specifically what I saw on my journey to the dark web and this is an old image. And the one I saw is brand new so It could be a real site or a scam that is a debate. But, if it is a scam then that is most probable since the previous users who are scammed can't do anything like complaints since it's the dark web so the site is still functioning. 

Among the digging I've done on the internet animal redrooms are mostly found in the 4chan website which is horrendous in my opinion. But since it's 4chan what else is to expect? :/
